Tell your story
|
The final aspect of a spiritual journey recognizes the desire to tell someone of the journey. Nobody travels down the exact same path, so retelling your story helps others think and share about their journey. At an early age, I was told what conversations were inappropriate to discuss with people, of which were politics and religion. However, today it is less shocking to openly discuss religious backgrounds than previous generations because of our pluralistic culture. Rather than assuming everyone is the same and being shocked to find differently, our culture recognizes and respects other views. With the respect comes the ability to discuss spiritual matters. Sharing about the spiritual journey recognizes it as a continuing road. One never fully arrives into spiritual enlightenment.* In Christianity, we are all beggars showing other beggars where to get bread. Experiencing God through your spiritual journey is an exciting, one-on-one relationship through Christ. Making your spiritual journey a priority can be a challenge, however, making sense of the world without exploring spirituality may be much more difficult. May God bless you as you venture down the path of your spiritual journey. ________*1 Corinthians 13:12 |
